About the Artist

Born in the Ukraine, Zoya Frolova studied monumental painting in the former Soviet Union. She graduated from the Kharkov Art Institute in the Ukraine in 1976.
In 1984 she moved to Riga, Latvia before relocating to the United States in 1990. She has exhibited her work throughout the former Soviet Union as well as in Hungary, Cuba, Hong Kong, Sweden, Spain and the United States.
Her work is presented in numerous international collections including the Corcoran Gallery (Washington, DC), the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum (Rutgers University, NJ), the Tretyakov State Gallery (Moscow), and the Presidential Collection (Riga, Latvia).
